Disney Line Group Cruise
Disney Cruise Line's long awaited first ship entered service in July l998, with the Disney Magic. The second addition to the Disney fleet, Disney Wonder, soon followed - she entered service-beginning spring of l999. Originally, both ships sailed on 3 and 4 - night cruises to the Bahamas as well as Disney's own private island, Castaway Cay. Two new ships are being built and the spa area has been refurbished. Disney is also expanding with a European Cruise..

Group passengers could compliment their vacation package with resort stays (at the Walt Disney World Resort) to complete the week. Then in August of 2000, Disney Cruise Line began offering 7 night cruises aboard the Disney Magic with an Eastern Caribbean itinerary, and then began including 7-night Western Caribbean cruises on alternating sailings.

Disney Cruise Line's ships offer the elegance and décor of superliners of yester-year, coupled with modern facilities designed with the entire family in mind. Expansive, dedicated children's areas and extensive youth programs are the line's strength, but they have also successfully created entertainment and areas specifically for adults.

Entertainment is particularly strong, with full Broadway-style shows included; even the dining offers an entertainment twist, with themed dining rooms, as well as a reservations-only restaurant for adults, called "Palo." And Disney's private Bahamian island, "Castaway Cay," continues with the theme of offering beach facilities geared towards all of its passengers. There's even a private, adults only beach. Another plus- both ships dock at "Castaway Cay," avoiding the need for ship tenders.
