Oceania Cruises is relatively new; formed in 2002 by two cruise industry veterans,
Frank Del Rio and Joseph Watters, who wanted the onboard experience to emulate the casual elegance of a country club, and offer outstanding cuisine, as well as destination
oriented itineraries. Renowned chef Jacques Pepin is Oceania Cruises' Executive Culinary Director, and guests have the option of dining in four open seating restaurants.
The fleet includes three intimate and luxurious ships (30,277 tons) the Regatta, the Insignia and the Nautica, which was introduced in November 2005. Their itineraries
include the Caribbean, Panama Canal, Mexico, the Mediterranean, and Scandinavia.
