Princess Group Cruise
A cruise line not content to sit back on its success and name recognition, Princess Cruises has led the way when it comes to more innovation in its cruise ship designs. When Princess introduced its Grand Princess in l998, she was the largest cruise ship ever built, with 18 passenger decks, a gross registered tonnage of 109,000 and length of 935 feet, to accommodate 2,600 guests. With the Grand Princess, Princess Cruises introduced some alternative dining options, in addition to its regular restaurants, and also continued its 24-hour casual dining experience for its group cruise passengers and specialty restaurants as well.

Always well known for excellent entertainment, Princess Cruises' "Movies Under the Stars" first launched on Coral Princess has been a tremendous success with plans in the works to add this onto other ships. Princess Cruises now includes 14 ships in its fleet, with a few different categories - "Sun" class ships introduced in the mid 1990's, followed by the "Grand" class debuting with the Grand Princess, and its "Coral" class and "Diamond" class ships.

In addition, Princess Cruises acquired two intimate ships in 2002, the Pacific Princess and the Tahitian Princess, which offer year round sailings to Tahiti and the South Pacific.

Offering some of the most expansive and global cruise itineraries, Princess Cruises and its Princess Tours division are leaders when it comes to Alaska. In addition, the Princess fleet sails to the Mediterranean and Europe, Bermuda, the Caribbean, New England, through the Panama Canal, as well as Australia/New Zealand, the Far East, Africa, South America, Russia and Scandinavia, Tahiti and South Pacific as well as the British Isles.
